Falling into place

The end of the garden, collected as many seeds from the yard for next years sprouting. Brought the rosemary plant in and put in kitchen window, luscious now, hopefully survives the lack of sun.
The back fence needed repair and the veranda rail finally fell off perhaps the spring will bring anew.

I had some health tests done, one revealed a lesion near my heart so I was cautious not to lift or strain for a couple months till my MRI. Those results were good nothing found. You really think about the future the past the what ifs,  all the time trying to remain confident and spiritual.

Enjoy the small things, children, a good cup of tea, feed a blue jay  some peanuts, be kind to nature, Love all
things.

My brother recently had a health scare. His walking become difficult. He was slumping.  We thought Alzheimer"s  as it runs in the family. He also has diabetes. Like our father it usually comes with multiple problems.
My brother was also falling so his wife called and he was admitted to hospital. The symptoms happened quicker than Alzheimer's so doctors ordered a spinal tap and results revealed "normal pressure hydrocephalus" too much water on the brain. With a tube from the brain to stomach  he is on his way to recovery.

With an uncertain future I found myself crocheting. The more I finished the better. Hats, shawls, I have enjoyed crocheting for 40 years so it is relaxing and rewarding. A few pictures of some

                                            Missing You

I am missing you today, as other days. Remembering all the small things you taught your children,
Today I am cooking tomato sauce, something I learned from you. You were such a great cook, preparing all our meals. Hours of such loving care.
Y early gardens we remember them well, planting, weeding, watering and reaping rewards meant freezing, canning for the winter ahead. I fail at this saving too much work I suppose all those jars, washing , boiling and tapping lids to see if sealed. Wow you done so much for us.
How do I stop myself from tearing up. I don't , just wipe those tears away and continue.
One good thing rubbed off even as a child I loved to get my hands in the soil. This year I enjoyed it because it was new and creative and with care and love the garden turned out fabulous.
So tonight I will enjoy some pasta with the freshly made sauce, thank you Mom
